Our mission

Create housing. Expand opportunity. Strengthen communities.

EquityRoot Housing Partners is a Massachusetts nonprofit housing development organization established to pursue housing and real-estate opportunities that create long-term community value.

We are building a development platform focused on identifying overlooked opportunities and moving them from possibility toward implementation — with discipline, partnership, and a commitment to development that actually works.

Our foundation

People, places, and opportunity.

Three commitments guide every property we evaluate and every partnership we build.

01

People

Creating pathways to ownership, quality housing, and greater stability for individuals and families.

02

Places

Reimagining underused land and buildings as productive neighborhood assets through thoughtful development.

03

Opportunity

Bringing property, expertise, capital, and partnerships together to make viable housing possible.

Our approach

A disciplined approach to development.

We begin with the opportunity — not a predetermined solution. Every property is different, and our process reflects that discipline.

01

Site

Identify overlooked potential.

02

Feasibility

Test what can responsibly be built.

03

Capital

Structure viable financing.

04

Partnership

Assemble the right team.

05

Execution

Move opportunities forward.

Partnerships

Development is a team sport.

We welcome conversations with organizations and professionals whose experience, resources or mission complement our development work.

01

Developers

Co-development, joint pursuits and project-specific collaboration. For EquityRoot, collaboration is also capacity building.

02

Lenders & Capital Partners

Banks, CDFIs, mission-driven lenders and philanthropic institutions supporting every stage of financing.

03

Property Owners

Your property may have possibilities you haven’t considered. We welcome conversations about what’s next.

04

Public & Community Partners

Municipalities, housing agencies and community organizations working together on locally responsive projects.

Leadership

“The goal is not simply to talk about the need for housing. It is to build the relationships, capacity and projects that can create it.”
